Karen Bratt

Managing Director
First Republic Bank

Karen Bratt is a Managing Director and relationship manager at First Republic Bank. In her role, she heads teams of specialists to provide customized investment, banking, trust and lending solutions for individual and commercial clients. Ms. Bratt has over 25 years of experience in commercial and private banking. She has also served on numerous non-profit boards and committees focused on the arts, historic preservation and women in business. Karen earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree, Economics from Wellesley College and an MBA from the Boston University School of Management.

Formerly with Alydar Capital 

Mr. Pitts spent over ten years as CFO of Alydar Partners. Mr. Pitts was previously the General Partner Services Controller at Summit Partners. From 1998 to 2000, Mr. Pitts was the Corporate Controller at The Vector Group, Inc., and served as Controller at Highland Capital Partners for six years prior to his role at The Vector Group. Prior to 1992, Mr. Pitts worked at KPMG LLP and Sullivan & Worcester LLP for six years. Mr. Pitts received a B.S. in accounting from Providence College in 1986 and an M.B.A. from Boston College in 1997. Mr. Pitts is a CPA and a member of the Massachusetts Society of CPAs, and the American Institute of CPAs.

Rebecca Rogers

Delta Partners, LLC 

Becky joined Delta Partners, LLC in August 2001 as Chief Financial Officer and was promoted to Chief Operating Officer in 2007. Prior to joining Delta, Becky was employed by PricewaterhouseCoopers, LLP (PwC) in the Assurance and Business Advisory Services group. At PwC, she participated in the audits of primarily mutual funds. Prior to PwC, Becky worked as a financial accountant at Boston Gas Company. She received a Bachelor of Science from Bridgewater State College in 1997 and a Master of Science in Finance from the Sawyer School of Management at Suffolk University in 2001.

Howard Rubin

Howard Rubin is the Chief Operating Officer of Midwood Capital Management LLC, a small-cap long/short U.S. equity manager that established its first fund in 2003. Prior to Midwood, Howard was the Co-Founder, as well as Managing Partner and Chief Operating Officer of Tara Hill Capital Management. He earned a BBA, Finance and Accounting from the George Washington University School of Business in 1981, and an MBA from Harvard Business School in 1984.

John N. Spinney, Jr.

Bracebridge Capital

John is Bracebridges’s COO & CFO and is responsible for all the day to day operations of their back office functions, information technology, human resources and overall office operations. John has over 20 years of financial services experience. Most recently, John was Senior Vice President and CFO of Investors Financial Services Corporation (IFIN). IFIN processed over $2.5 trillion of assets for asset managers, including hedge funds, on a daily basis and had balance sheet footings of over $12 billion. Prior to joining IFIN, John was an audit partner at KPMG LLP where he focused on financial services clients including asset managers and investment companies.

John is a CPA and holds a BBA in accounting from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst.

Becky Vail

Prior to joining Millstreet Capital Management LLC in 2010, Becky Vail served as an adviser and consultant for hedge fund managers and investment advisers, including Prelude Asset Management, where she focused on developing, reviewing, and updating operations and compliance policies and procedures, as well as assisting with investor relations and fundraising efforts. Previously, Ms. Vail was the Chief Operating Officer and Chief Compliance Officer of Skystone Capital Management LP, and before that spent eight years in equity research sales as a Senior VP at Pacific Crest Securities. Ms. Vail holds an A.B. in Economics with a Certificate in East Asian Studies – Japan from Princeton University and an MBA with a dual major in Finance and Multinational Management from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. She is Vice Chair of the Boston Education Committee of 100 Women in Hedge Funds.

Andrew Viens

Sankaty Advisors

Andy joined Sankaty Advisors in 2005. He is currently Executive Vice President and Global Head of Operations. Andy is responsible for all middle office and back-office functions at the firm including: trade settlement, data management, reconciliation, document management and portfolio valuation functions. Previously, Andy was the Director of Treasury Operations at Investors Bank & Trust where he was responsible for all operational activities related to securities lending, foreign exchange, and cash management functions. Andy received his B.A. in Economics from Assumption College. Andy and his wife Suzanne reside in Mansfield, MA with their son Riley, age 12 and daughters Reagan, age 10 and Rowan, age 1.
